But 3 of us caught 62 nice crappie last Friday, and I went back after church Sunday and caught 25 more with 2 of us. In FOUR feet of water. Water temp was 88 degrees. Same thing happened last year at this same place.....nowhere else. Tried this place all spring and not much happening. Don't know what this means. I just know I have a ton of fish in the freezer all of a sudden. Some big, some average..... I say we caught 62......we actually KEPT 62.....we probably caught double or triple that number, and threw back the smaller ones.

Well, the GPS coordinates are............. HAHAHAHAHAHA by YEAHRIGHT Most crappie fishermen are big liars and exaggerators. I've seen buckets of fish that guys caught that they called 'slabs' and none went over 1 lb on a true scale. I doubt any of these went over 1.5 lbs, and not too many of those. The bigger ones were thick in the shoulders, making good thick meat. Truth be told, I like to eat the little ones. I don't mean too little to keep, but if you can fillet ANY meat off of it, that's my favorite part. My wife suggests that I just like the batter more than the fish!!! But I love those little guys. I take the big fillets and cut them in two anyway so they'll fry better. But I surely do like catchin' the big 'uns! This was fun. Supposed to be 96 on Saturday, but if I can get up at 3:00 a.m. I might can get over there and catch enough by 11:00 when it gets miserable, and come home........ OR......like most crappie holes.....it'll be dried up and this will have been a one-time deal. Who knows. That's why they call it 'fishing' instead of 'catching'!!

I like the little ones too.........and i also cut each filet in half to make 4 pieces per fish. Good stuff!

Hope you marked an X on the side of the boat so you can find that spot again??? We love crappie, but I've never had the knack of catching them.

Boarhog, only cause you ain't old enough. It takes about (counting.....) 40 years to figure it out.
THEN in an instant POOF, all the skills leave you.
Worse than golf.
P.S. You're silly. I painted an x with a spray can in the water.

Buckrub, If I make it to July 30th I'll be 63 yo. I think I may have killed off too many brain cells back in the 60s and 70s! I shudder to think how bad I would be if I could have gotten the other end of my candle to light!! LOL
