It was a beautiful morning to be in the Timber..the dawn broke with no wind and it was very mild. i soon found myself surrounded by turkeys and deer and coon and of course squirrels. it did not take long for the CZs to start barking! following is what I believe to be the only hollow point I have ever recovered. It is a Lapua SK Match....as a side note I also believe it be... to the best of my knowledge... that this is the only Match grade Hollow point available. Its a marriage made in heaven with the CZs...A thought just struck me that is terrifying....Hillary in office and a shortage on ammo will become a reality....I will be ordering some more NOW. We limited out this morning on mostly greys and we had yet another cross bred one in the bunch...2 did not make the photo op as they had something wrong with them

Surprising that you would be able to recover one of those from a squirrel! What weight and velocity is that ammo?
How do you prepare those, fried or stewed?

It was a first for me! I have killed 100s of these things over the years. The round is no slouch as far as .22 ammo is concerned. Launching a 40 grn bullet at their advertised 1,265 F.P.S. We typically pan fry the young squirrels very slowly and the older squirrels will wind up as BBQ or pot pie. Both outstanding table fare!
