Keith posted this challenge elsewhere but got no responses. Here's my attempt. 1. Spike's tactical receiver set and BCG, kreiger 24" 1-7.7 twist varmint contour, Dedicated Thechnology float tube, magpul PRS stock, and a geissele SSA-E trigger. All cerakoted flat dark earth and armor black. Topped with a SWFA SS 3-15x42 HD in the swfa mount. Ammo- fiochi exacta 77gr SMK production ammo. Shot off a 9" Harris bipod 2. Don't get much rougher than this.... The unfinished backyard 3. 4. Group 1 -- 1.205" or 1.151MOA Group 2 -- .856" or .8175MOA Average -- 2.061" or .984MOA Totally frustrated that I got out rangered I shot another string off of bags and had a whopping 4 return to battery failures and vertical stringing like no ones business. You won today Keith...

That's still very legit shooting and solid rifle. Lots of them will not do what yours just did. That's a legit rig you have and I would shoot a match with it anytime. Have you ever reloaded the Fiocchi brass? I've heard it is pretty good ammo but read mixed reviews on the brass. I nearly bought a LOT of Fiocchi brass to use for matches where I leave it behind but didn't know anyone who used it and could give me some feedback.
You win the backyard contest by a mile. I keep telling the wife that our next purchase needs to be land even if we are only spending another decade here. They aren't making anymore, it will always be a good return on investment, and most importantly I would like to live on my range. I'm jelly, Cole.

well its mud and i'm a little soft really, I sighted in on the mud but my bipod sank a good inch in 10 shots so I figured if the rifle got a blanky, I would too. Keith, I haven't reloaded any fiocchi yet. I grabbed a hundred rounds of various 77gr rounds to shoot before I get to where I can reload again. Yep, that co-ax is just collecting dust...

Sometimes the new land ain't no better than the old. 1. You won today Pilgrim... Good shooting sense it's been a year. Is that 2 ten shot groups at 100 yards. Keith were is your group? I guess I will blow the dust off my gun tomorrow try few groups.

Yes, two 10 shot groups fired in succession with only a pause for mag change. Keith said he held himself to 60sec for each 10 shot string so that's what I did as well.

Not in that direction, I was shooting towards your hideout. Wind mills are about 2 miles north of my house. They really are a nuisance but someone has to have them I guess

Just to clear up any confusion, this thread isn't advertising. It was in response to another thread on another board since there are never any takers. Original post:
Took this fromm another guy I know. This challenge is designed to test your skills as well as your equipment. I will keep up with the rankings as we go along. Please read and follow the rules or your entry may not count.
The Rules: ALL targets must be shot from 100 yards. 20 rounds will be scored, flyers included. The rifle can be shot from any position as long as the shooter is supporting the rifle. Bipods, slings, and rear bags are ok to use. NO bench rest, lead sleds, or machine rest may be used. All 20 rounds must be fired on the same day, from the same rifle. Iron Sights will fire two 10 shot groups at the reduced 600 yard NRA targets. Scoped rifles will fire two 10 shot groups at the target listed below (different targets are ok, just make sure both groups are on the same piece of paper) Iron sighted rifles and scoped rifles will be ranked separately.
Please have your post in this Order:
1) Picture of rifle and setup with description of rifle and ammo. 2) Picture of 100 yard range. 3) Picture of target (optics) or targets (irons) with 20 rounds through them. (place calipers or ruler laying over one group for reference) 4) For optics, list your group sizes and the average. For Iron sights, please list the group size and score.

Kash, this was the opener: 1: Rifle: Barnes Precision BPM-15 with new BP 18" mid to replace the 16" I wore out. I took the A2 hider off of it and installed a BE Myers hider I had on my bench. Only other mod from stock is the Geissele SSA trigger. Optic: Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50mm G2 in LaRue mount that one of my guys bought recently and I have for testing right now Bipod: Atlas Ammo: I had 44 rounds of 69gn Nosler CC loaded over 24gn RL15 in Federal brass, lit by CCI BR-4. These were rounds I had left over from the first barrel I had on this gun. Never shot them before today in this barrel. They hit just low and left of where the 77gn bullets it's zeroed for hit. I will use the last 24 to zero the irons on the gun and shoot the iron sight target with a sling. 2: Old picture of the range, the berms have been shuffled; 100yds is now on left, 200yds in the middle, 300yds is far berm now. 3: 4: Group 1: .820" or .783 MOA Group 2: .895 or .854 MOA Average: .858" or .819 MOA
