Kelby's is offering all the GRS models/inlets, they'll order them in on request. (I know you would rather spend your money in Ohio then Florida.) I've seen one of the laminates. The pistol grip would take some getting used to for me, I just like to be able to thumb the safety without having to adjust your grip. Do like the hardware but wonder about using it in freezing weather.

Lot of guys were waiting for the Berserk to hit the shores. I guy I know said he seen the bolthorn up at Kelby's last fall and they were talking $1200+. Of course a J Allen will run you almost $2k (and everyone thought the AICS was expensive).
Like I said the grip is the only thing I really did not like. It seems comfortable, reminds you of a PSG style pistol grip with a thumb rest or like they took the grip design from a set of Nills target pistol grips (the stippeling even looked the same). If you got settled in for the shot and then had to take the safety off you pretty much have to take your hand off the stock to do it. Common problem with most chassis and thumbhole stocks. Magpul did seem to address that with their new stock (which looks like a J Allen). Of course maybe that is why Jewel makes a bottom safety trigger for the Remy.
I've had guys contact me about working over 98 Mausers to drop into a Archangel stock for a econo tactical.

Flicking the safety forward is a non-starter for me. It goes off before I start getting into much of anything except position. Moving my hand just enough to disengage it isn't much movement; far less than manipulating the bolt for a second shot and nobody complains about that.

But your probly way past the point that a Remy 700 is more like an appendage of your body, I used to be that way with a 1911 and an AR. Training you pound the procedure into your mind and muscle memorey. It's just ergonomics, you see it all the time. Guys that have a thumbhole or pistol-grip style stock will complain their right hand hurts after a range session. They are trying to take the recoil with their hand instead of their shoulder. Just like with a straight grip sporter stock the first thing most people do is put their thumb around the wrist of the stock like they are grabbing a piece of pipe. Good form that used to be taught your thumb would be in line with the bore of the barrel during the shot.
