Thought I would post this, may be useful to someone who forgets their sticks or bipod. Does not take up much room in a fanny or backpack and it is light weight. Just a screw in treestep with a couple layers of grip tape to provide a cushion for the stock. This one gives me about 8" of elevation adjustment, depending on how it is oriented in the tree.

I do the exact same thing but use the smaller bow hanger ones. According to my set up, normally in a climber I will screw one on both sides of the tree. Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference. Thanks for sharing Dave.

I like those a lot. The carabiner with screw on thread protector is a great idea!

I bought a couple of these on sale this weekend. Think I will like them. If I have a problem with them I know who to blame.

They go in trees pretty easy. Hunted out of an Osage Orange for the first time ever this year, without a doubt the hardest tree I have ever screwed steps in! No way those cheapy hangers I usually used in the past would have went in that thing without bending severely.
