Looking at purchasing a 700 ADL for a donor since on sale. Is there advantages to getting a bdl or an adl? Will be used for a .375 or a .416 build... Thanks

Look at what stock you want to finish you build with. If you want to use a bdl stock you are better off to buy the bdl now. The bottom metal could run you $100 later on.

I think I can find the stock option in an ADL. It's hard to beat the $370 price tag of a new gun. It will only ever be a SML. Just having a difficult time finding a reasonable BDL and I already have plenty of rifles. Just making sure it's a good foundation for the build.

Buy what you can get the cheapest then. As far as the action and trigger there will be no difference. Good luck with your build, you're in the right place.

Nope, I live in Indiana just outside the Fort. I didn't even realize I had a gun builder this close to me, which is great.

That is a heck of a price for a A D L Remington 700 an action alone would cost that much. You can recoup some of your cost by selling the stock and barrel Does it have the J-Lock? Good Luck Lou

No j-lock. I ended up finding a .243 varmit BDL dirt cheap, so I didn't go with the ADL.
