It's that time again. A week on the Gouin. Anyone not familiar with it....check it out on a search engine. We'll be there from 6/19 - 6/26.
This is the 12th year in a row for me. Same guys I hunt with.
I will post a report when I return. Been a "cold" start for this summer so I think we'll be in the backs of some warmer bays catching them in 3-6 feet. That's my prediction.

Broom,
Which ones? The only fingar lakes that hold Walleyes that are close to me are Honeoye and Conisius (Silver if you count hangnails) These are the western fingar lakes. These lakes are shallow and hold Walleyes. However, only the pro's amoung pro's have any luck this time of year.....and usually not much....there's enough bait in the lake that fishing is super hard until fall.

I'll be looking for some walleye myself this weekend. Was at my cabin last weekend and tried and narry a bite but spring was a little late this year. The bite should be picking up now so hope to get some for a good feed. My grand daughter is now 1 years old and this weekend will be her first time in a boat. Hope to show her her first walleye and give her her first taste. Don't know if I'll let her hold a rod just yet. If she gets a bite, the rod will likely end up on the bottom of the lake
