Nice looking rig. I looked at that color from Boyd's but was unsure, but seeing it on a gun I like might have to get one. I can't wait to see target pics.

What do you use as a target backer to get such clean round holes?

Actually nothing...I try to pick a good place on the plywood. That .065 was over a paper plate though. These targets dont even seem to be that heavy. Drop

Thats amazing Russ! My targets are all printed on card stock and even with a new homasote backer, I can't get holes that clean? Looks like a paper punch! Particularly the pointed bullets are bad. XTP's or the like with hollow points put the best hole! It must be the type of paper they are printed on. Richard

I bought a 4x8 sheet of corrugated plastic, it looks just like cardboard but made from plastic. It makes nice clean bullet holes. I got it from a sign printer for less than $25. I cut it up into smaller pieces and have really enjoyed it. Plus you can leave it out in the rain and not worry about it.

I do make it a point to pull the targets tight...kind of like smoothing it down to staple it. Almost all of my targets cut nice sharp holes like that...unless the backboard is a raggedy and or splintered...or even gone...as in shot through ans through Drop
