You catch that blue running nets, bank poles, or rod and reel? Yeah throw lines. I have a goal to catch one on rod and reel but barely have time to run lines.

Our local river was up all spring. We rod and reel every every Saturday with Sonny's cheese bait when we can still run a boat. We filled the freezer up with channel cats this spring.
With raising little kids it has about cut out all my over night bank poling trips. The "warden" aka the wife lets me out once or twice a year. We caught some big flatheads on the Kaskaskia river back in June.

Before I got married and had two wonderful kids, I hunted 3-4 times a week now I'm lucky to hunt twice a year fishing um what's that? But I love my family working on getting out more with new camper.

Tar12 I'm from east central Il. Little known town of Jewett, population 200. Lol. about twenty miles east of Effingham I know exactly where it is at! I am from Charleston and spent a lot of time in my youth running around the Effingham,T-town area. Spent more than one night running lines on the Kaskaskia.Pre-spawn flathead fishing can be incredible there!
