Anyone have experience with these?- www.armsmounts.com/catalog.php?action=124&item_id=83Thinking about going with quick detach rings for my SMI barrel and the weaver scope, and these were recommended. A bit pricey at $120 though, but if they guarantee to return to zero, maybe worth it? Thanks

They may be excellent and worth the money........but, I have been using Leupold QD rings and mounts for many years, and they have preformed, perfectly.
Good Luck,

I'm not sure what scope you are going to use, whether it is a 1" or 30mm tube. If you are going to spend that kind of money on qck dtch rings I would seriously consider spending a little more and getting Larue. There was a time I could have shown you a whole trash can full of broken ARMs mounts. JMO.. stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=35

bigmoose, do the LQD return to true zero everytime?
sr71, will be a 30mm tube. $195 for rings... mercy... But thanks for the link, it's good to know what's out there. You mentioned there "was a time..." is ARMs better quality now?

Another drawback is you have to have a picatinny milspec rail to use these mounts. Even a weaver mount with picatinny width cross slots will not always work due to not being tall enough and narrow enough under the dovetail for the cams to work.
I'm not a fan of the Leupold QR mounts and rings but do like the QRW rings and had them on my 10ML for many years.
I plan on switching everything I have over to picatinny rail mounts to have the ability to swap optics around. As far as rings the Burris XTRs look pretty good.

I like the warne quick release rings, they don't shift more than 1/4 MOA. I used to have a scope that was used on 2 different rifles and one of them was my MLII.

Yes, they do. And they are very strong, good enough to stand up to 5000 plus full power shots with my two Savage rifles. I also had them on a 458 lott, with zero problems.

I've used Leu QRWs for years and like them. This year I am equiping my 2 primary Sav 10-ML2s with Warne Rings on Warne Weaver mounts, but first I will sight-in my back up scopes with the Leu QRW rings. This way if I have a scope problem or think I have, I can take off my fixed Warne rings/scope and put on the back up scope and not miss a beat.

SW,
Excellent idea, I have thought about it, but too lazy to anything about it.I have a Leupold bore sighter and have maped my scopes, so I could, resight in any scope than when I'm finished with, just re-map it, I have tried it and it works. Good idea for a back up scope.

Bigmoose,
In all honesty I can't say as we only include Larue mounts for our kits now.
