Thanks for the generous offer Keith!!!!!!!! We will have 1 .451 at the shoot and would be glad to try some of your bullets. I just have to figure out a load that will work with our recoil limit.

The 60gn of H4198 was not unpleasant. If I get a chance to, I'll get a test pack to you this weekend so you can shoot some prior to the match and help me iron out the wrinkles.

Keith, Congratulations on all of your efforts!!! .452's is my vote. Any updated / educated guess on those 316gr .452's? Kyle Kyle, If you are asking about the update/guess on price, yes I have an idea. Based on what I paid for materials and the amount of time it has taken to make this first run of bullets I am going to say they will cost 78% of what a Parker Match Hunter does. After the KY Shoot and feedback I will make whatever changes I need to and order my first bulk order so I have enough to swage 10K bullets. Materials are cheaper that way and I'll be able to reduce the sale price of the bullet a little I think.

For my sake I'll assume you're talking the price of he BE's! sounds great!! Haha Around 20% off of the match hunters is just what we need Keith, shoot 4 get the 5th shot free! More groups that Richard is content with using that logic.

Based on Parker's pricing anyway using the 300 match hunter's pricing.

Actually I should have been more clear, sorry. I'm interested in BC, estimated or field varified. Thanks, Kyle

Keith, Bullets are only the beginning. We'll have you making barrels and actions before you know it. Congratulations on your success!!! Kyle Kyle, I have been so busy I can't hardly see straight. I have had a chance to shoot a few bullets just to make sure they didn't hit the target sideways so I could make sure my math was right. I haven't shot them past 100yds. I should have a chance to shoot them towards the end of the month and I will test them to 500yds. Until then the best shot we have is guys at the KY shoot doing some testing at around 300yds or whatever Jeff can stretch targets to. I'll do some math tomorrow at work while I'm on the range but my guess is the BC is in the high .3s G1. As for barrels and actions, I received my acceptance letter to a gunsmithing program the other day. When I finally muster out I am going to run a full scale range operation, gunshop, and ammo company. Dual hatting with my day job makes this side gig a game of chess to make it all work out one day.

7mm~ after some ky range fun I think I will switch & test some of the .452 smooth bombs(if available) starting at the 300 yd board mark,of course planning on obturating them to our heavy contours & our pressures to see how they respond, planning on taking many different vials w/ a spectrum of powder charges probably w/ I4198.

Keith, I think a BC for the bullet you are describing is awesome, but I bet it will calculate out to be even higher than the high 3's. Kyle

If there are a few left after the Ky fun I'd like to compare drop against the 310 APB's at 600 yds. To see how close the two are.

Kyle I've done the math a few times now and keep coming up with .375 to .390 G1 but I will try to shoot some this weekend at a little bit of distance to see how they shape up to my numbers and then the guys at KY can validate.

I got up this morning to finish up the bullets for the KY shoot. The same die setting that has successfully made all the bullets up to this point bypassed the meplat (not sure why it didn't close down to spec) and when I attempted to eject the bullet the ejection punch passed all the way through the bullet. I have what is the equivalent of a case head separation in a metallic gun but a simple fix like a stuck case remover won't get me out of this jam. I am also not willing to attempt to drill out a bullet in a set of dies that cost what these did and took as long to deliver as these did. Starting Tuesday I will be gone for the remainder of the week competing in a preliminary to see who goes to the Cambrian Patrol in Wales. Hopefully, when I get home next weekend I have have instructions and a solution to this issue.
Long and short of it is, I have about 100 blems I can send down to the shoot if guys want to try them. It would not be enough to go around. There are about 400 right now waiting to be pointed that won't make it to the shoot. I had planned on packing up 5 blem per shooter to get the dies set up, and 20 bullets per shooter so guys could shoot a few groups with them.

Hey 7mmFreak Don't sweat the small things. Do what you got to do to take care of the important things.... We all got powder and lead. And I am sure anybody would be more than happy to pay the shipping plus $ to help offset the cost and see how they shoot. I know I will. Just let me know if I can be of any help Drop

Thanks guys, it's been a rough weekend. Me and the partner shot 3 good stages at a sniper match then stage 4 was a disaster. I woke up irritated today and right after breakfast this happened: I need the rest of the week to go better than that

what happened.. theres no core..? There's a core, it just has a hole through it and the bottom of the jacket. The meplat on that jacket just didn't close quite enough for the ejection punch to push it out to it went through the hole in the nose and impaled the core. I was able to retrieve the ejection pin and attempted to adjust the seating punch down about .005" to see if it would close up the nose (the difference between not enough meplat and jacket flowing through the ejection punch hole is about .010") and then eject it. On the upstroke the ejection pin punched all the way through with very little effort.
