I have shot my .416 with both the brake on it and off of it. It kicks hard no matter which way it is,the brake just makes it a little easier to shoot more shots. This is with 100grs of H-4350 and a 340 gr. CE bullet. My head ends up hurting after shooting it no matter for some reason. On a .45 I could feel a big difference between having a brake on it and not. This is just my opinion.....

Finally got a chance to shoot this thing today and the bolt and Luke's plug performed flawlessly with a 350 bullet and 95gr imr4350. Accuracy wasn't there today but function was great, primers look to be able to withstand quite I bit more of a beating.

believe me, my first barrel without a brake was brutal. with a brake its still a kicker but not a stomper..
the bolt and plug should work great for all calibers..

Cole,
We need pictures...nice to be able to squeeze those primers into the pocket isn't it
What size bushing are you using?

Mike, I am bad about taking pictures but I will work on it. We used a .040 bushing with the arrowhead plug. I left the shelf in the plug and drilled a larger PFC from the bushing end with a 13/64 bit. The bushing has to be removed to clean the Pfc but there is no such thing as free cake!

Haha yeah the 40moa rail and your 20moa mount doesn't make for shooting inside of 6 miles
