I think I will buy a Marauder air rifle but I need some advice. The marauder is pre charged with high pressure air instead of CO2 like the discovery. I wonder why you can use CO2 and high pressure air in the discovery but not in the marauder. Would it be possible to recharge empty CO2 bottles with high pressure air once they are emptied of the CO2 ? I would like to have small bottles of high pressure air to refill with but I don't want to buy a HP pump or a scuba bottle.

Good question to ask the staff at Pyramid Air: www.pyramydair.com/contact-usJust a guess, but I doubt if the CO2 bottle will hold the air pressure necessary to fill the Maurader.

I imagine Richard will see your post and respond, he is pretty knowledgeable about the Mrod. I use the Hill pump and it is a bit of a workout but the rifle is terrific----in .25cal. They use Green Mountain barrels on the .25 but the tubes on the .22 aren't as good. The rifle is a solid piece of equipment and has ample power for most apps.
you could also Google the Yellow forum it is all about PCP air guns.
