Like I meantioned, I love my smokeless muzzleloader. Thanks Luke! I set out today during our late season doe only in order to get a good doe for our land owner. I decided to hunt our tower blind on the north side of our farm. The evening started very slow with no deer seen, probably due to high winds. Then out of nowhere a big doe comes out from the same tree line I was setup in. She stopped at 50 yds and looked back at me. I assume she caught my scent due to the fact I was hunting a SW wind. I was to able to get on her before she took off across the field. She stopped again at 200 yds. The. Ran to 370 and stopped to look at other deer in the south field. Thankfully it was just long enough for me to dial up 5.5 MOA. Put it right behind her shoulder (quartering away), squeezed the trigger. Then BOOM!!! I couldn't see the shot through the scope due to the kick. But as soon as I got back on her I saw she was running balls out with only three good legs! And at that, 370 yards marks my longest kill, and my personal first kill with this gun. This is also my largest and oldest deer. Didn't weight her but I would say 180? Not one tooth in her head, and no milk in her nipples. Waiting for the ladies [/URL Right after shot, she was standing near the grass clump

With guns like these, It's almost like shooting ducks in a pond. Jeff.

yes they are killers, the dare devils that once ran to the middle of the field and stood there are going to have to rethink their game plan... good shooting!

yes they are killers, the dare devils that once ran to the middle of the field and stood there are going to have to rethink their game plan... good shooting! They sure do! She was standing out there all proud thinking she had come out a winner! NOT! Lol as Hillbill says, she was one "big nanny" (still laugh over that one :-)) and a trophy for me with the way this past year had been going. It isn't very common to kill an ancient, intelligent doe like her.
