I'll be interested to hear the rest of the story. Very tragic.

It’s always sad to hear about a fatality and in this case of loading a muzzle loader?? Yes one can never be too careful with firearms nor let their guard down for a moment.

When I first got my MK=85 Knight, My son used it and didn't tell me after hunting he left it loaded. Unknown to me I was going hunting so I always fire a couple primers to fowl before loading I put a patch on the jag to make sure of plenty fire I put a primer on with the rifle facing the concrete When it went off the rifle flew out of my hand and hit the concrete cracking the stock. I never found where the bullet went in the woods some where but my range rod went into my camper and flattened my spare tire Thank God no one was around I check my witness mark constantly now but I never thought some thing like this could happen to me I am always careful when it comes to guns. So from now on I check and double check. I've had times at the range start to talk to some one and forget did I load it or not so out comes the breech plug to be sure. Lou
