My brother and I got a couple good ones this year. Don't have any great stories, mine was the 4th night of first gun season. Had been sitting on a bean/corn field for the last 3 nights. Had 20-30 deer coming out each night. Had passed a 150's 8pt every night hoping one these would come out. Finally one did. This was one of the smaller ones but the one I wanted wouldn't break the hill before shooting time. Shot him at 340yds and the damage was unreal. Baseball size hole in the front shoulder. He goes 172.5". Hopefully I got the decimal point in the right place. Here is the buck my brother shot the next morning. Had to one up me. This deer has the sickest brow tines I've ever seen. Great mass too. He shot him at 320yds and he's a 179". He was a Wednesday morning spot and shoot. No stalk needed. Both were shot with Luke's 310APB sabotless. One EnPac and one RemBrux. Again the damage tremendous and no tracking needed.

Awesome deer congrats! What's the little buck on the floor? Bait..... Just kidding. My nephew and brother crawled in and shot him on Sunday. First buck he actually got to stalk and get a shot. Was Kool seeing a 12yr old doing the same thing the big boys do. That's why we do it. And yes, shooting dads old MLII. Big fan of the smoke free section too.

Not to be a buzz kill but I'd like to see that gun pointing in a different direction.
Very nice deer none the less!!!

A BIG congrats. I would say you guys stole (earned) the thunder from the rest of the board! Been a pretty slow year for a lot of us it seems, so extra congrats to you guys for showing us how to get it done.

Kralik4jr,
Those two are the best I have seen this year....Congratulations
I'll bet your nephew was just as proud of his kill too.
We must be doing something wrong here in North Carolina...Lots of deer but none that large :-(
Best,
Mike
