I sent my muzzle loader to a gunsmith so he could drill and tap my McGowen barrel for the sights and ramrod thimble. I have never packaged a gun so well. I sent the barreled action only and placed it in a tube that was extremely well built. I wrapped the sights, thimble and screws in masking tape and placed all of them in a zip lock bag and put them in the tube separated by foam. According to the smith the gun arrived but the sights and thimble are not inside. I checked the Savage website and the sights are available but the stainless thimble is currently unavailable. Does anyone have a stainless Savage 10ML-II the are willing to sell me? I don't like the clamp on thimbles. If you do I will get you to send it directly to my gunsmith in British Columbia, Canada.

A blued one would work in a pinch as he said if he had one to go by he could make one.

If someone could take a few close up photos of one (blue or stainless) as well as provide me with the inside diameter and the outside diameter at it's largest place, as well as the length, then I'm good to go.

First place I'd check is with Luke at Arrowhead. I had Spin Jag make my last ramrod since I prefer one piece rods.
