Yesterday I got a text message along with a picture from a fellow I built Rem/Pac's for himself, his father and hunting buddy. Three of them using McGowan barrels. He had been telling me how well these guns were shooting and bragging on the One Holers. This person, while he reads the SML message board he either is not registered or does not post and in fact, told me he does not know how to put this picture and description on the forum........so Richard is helping. The message goes like this: Thks for building the muzzleloader...it helped me take my biggest NC deer to date. I responded: Congratulations Wes, glad to see you got a wall hanger. His response: Thks just shot a doe at 360 yards and dropped her. This gun is awesome! Like I said, I asked him to put it on the board but he said he could not but would not mind if I would do it. My next question, via e-mail was in regard to some description on the load and this was his response: "Rich the buck was 150yds and the doe was 360yds The load i'm using is 8gr Blue Dot and 65gr IMR 4198 with a 275gr parker match hunter this is giving me around 2850fps with a winchester 209 primer also I forgot the .060 veggie wad. The buck scored right at 130" was a 10pt. and weighed 160lbs. This is the biggest deer i've killed around the house in N.C." Richard
