Welp,,, nuthin.
The wind was howling all day as in tree limbs coming down howling,,, there are so many acorns this year that every big gust of wind would send hundreds raining down,,,, I covered alot of turf and saw one doe bedded down, the sun was hitting her and man she was shinny. Acorns are everywhere, it will be a great year for the deer and a rough one for hunters.

Our bow season opened Oct 1 but we still had some stands to work on. So that's what we did. The acorns here are crazy too and pposey described exactly what we were seeing. Big wind gusts and acorn showers big time.
Got all the last stands adjusted, lanes trimmed, etc Late Saturday. 30 stands altogether for only 2 of us that bow hunt. Lot of work.
Got out yesterday morning for a few hours until I was too wet to hang in there. Very phony this time of year. Lot's of leaves, deer do not move yet like they will towards the end of OCT.
Good luck everyone.

Yes I wish our ML season was later, late Oct/early Nov would be great but Bear season has alot of pull around here and Deer ML season is the red headed stepchild
