Anyone know of any outfitter lodge/spa type place to hunt mule deer or whitetail deer. The wife is letting me pick a hunt but she wants to tag along for the trip but she has no desire to hunt with me. So that's why I need help looking for lodge/spa any advice or suggestions would be great.

What State or area are you looking at? What is your timeframe? Is there a budget somewhat?
If you are so versed, you could got to an upper end resort/hotel and go off on a DIY hunt.

I'm in illinois so driving distance would be nice. Couple states away. Under 5k would be great but kinda flexible if it's worth it. And wanting to book for next year. Just gathering ideas and reviews right now.

O.K. If you are an IL resident, right in your home State would be easiest. I've been hunting 30 miles North of Peroria the last 7 years of so. It's with a guy who leases a farm. The 'IL Outdoor News' has listings if you want a guided hunt, also should be some ads for lease opportunities, partnerships, sorta.
Wi, MI and I think Mn are easy, over the counter licenses and lots of public land, deer numbers are down in North WI and the U.P. Of MI though. The WI Outdoor News would have info on outfitters towards Buffalo Co, and nearby.
I did a trip to North WI sorta like you are talking about and handful of years ago, 10+ approx? I went to a nicer resort towards Eagle River, while the wife and young Son where there I went deer hunting on public land. I had a few anterless tags and tagged 3 deer on public land.
If you don't mind spending the coin hooking up with an outfitter would be the easiest, you don't have to stay at their facilities. IA is another option. I think I 'd look into your home State 1st, cut down on extended travel costs.

Probably WAY to late for this one but if you wanted a REAL Montana experience this is the on to try. Prices I have no Idea. We Hike in the area all year long and it LOOKS top notch and unbelievably country.K bar L Ranch
