I have a Winchester X3 that I am going to patter soon, it has a signature 12 gauge x-full turkey choke in it. My question is if this choke will not pattern well, what would be a recommendation for another brand and size choke to try. I am shooting the turkey edition gun with 3.5" Winchester Supreme (black shells) #5 shot. I will probably try the supreme 3" shells as well with #5 Shot.

I have a similar gun, a 'Back-Bored' Browning Gold. I wanted a choke to use for turkey & predators, that would be from #6 hevi-weight' shot to 'T' & some #4 Buck, then a few things in between. I talked to Mr Trulock himself while doing my search. I went with a .680" Trulock "Precision Hunter" extended choke. The 'back-bored' barrel should be factored in, larger diameter than average, then the size & type of shot expected. After that is done we all know we won't just fire one load, so we average out the expectations. Going tighter isn't always better.
That's how ended up with the Trulock .680, YMMV.
