A buddy just called me and asked If I needed Wolfelknbear hunt in the Morning. I said "Hell yah" SO, I gathered my Wolfelknbear crap together and set the alarm for four. There is a storm coming in tonight and it may be a raging snow storm in the morning but any tracks we see will be fresh. I'm going to carry the 45/70 but I'll bring the '250 too. Crap I'd feel really bad if I had to wreck my first wolf with the 45, but I will. I don't know if the bears are down for there long winters nap but we will see...

Snow, RAIN, Fog and LOTS of other hunters. That's just what we saw.
Covered a lot of ground on foot.
Covered a LOT of ground in the truck, Got soaked and stuck once.
All that and we didn't see a track or animal.
Had a good time...

And to think on our last day of gun season(here in NE Arkansas - 2 week-ends, shotgun, pistol, MLer , no cf), which is Sunday, T-storms, wind 15-25 S, and 75 degrees. Only slightly worse than tomorrow's prediction. Your hunt doesn't look like a picnic. Glad you enjoyed it!
