I got Katie and her pup Casey for some squirrel doggin action. This young dog is starting to piece it together and turn the crank! Casey is on the left and 5 mos old.We got Katie and her daughter out this morning and a beautiful morning it was! Katie as usual was treed in mere seconds with the first Grey. She was hooked so fast Casey did not know what was going on! lol We rolled that one out and cut the dogs loose again. This time Casey was not caught off guard and she helped momma tree the Fox squirrel and done a good job of it! Then we cut them again and they got a little deeper and my son reached for the Garmin Alpha and it was not there! Katie was hooked again and I sent him to gather up the dogs and he rolled out another Grey to her and put the dogs up. 1 hour later we found the Garmin! The feelings of breaking his neck subsided! lol Casey on the left and Katie on the right. To say I am happy with this cross would be a huge understatement! These pups are setting the woods on fire at a very young age! I am getting weekly reports of evry single one of these pups out of this cross treeing game by THEMSELVES! This includes a pup that was given away due to being injured by Katie jumping in and out of the whelping box.She somehow landed on him and there was permanent damage to his hindquarters affecting a nerve BUT it did not affect his heart and breeding! He has compensated for the injury and it does not slow him down much! I gave him to young man who is NOT a hunter but this has not stopped him from doing what he was bred to do and that is tree game! On a morning stroll he treed a kit coon and has treed several squirrels that he has found. His heart is incredible!A absolute natural as this entire litter appears to be!I want to thank Art Lee yet once again for allowing this cross to happen! It is a goodun!
