Wow! Beautiful work. I have some caplocks, two 50s and a 58, but I hunted with them pretty hard years ago. None even come close to that gun. I really like the stock. What kind of wood is that? I'm thinking maple but can't be sure w/o hands on. I loved hunting with my cap guns and I'd do it now but these old eyes can't see the open sights any more. That capper and a old type wingbone/cowhorn call and you'd be fixed for fall turkey season here in VA. Thanks for the eye candy. 10 ga

It is tiger maple wood. Its no good fore turkey here in NY, it has to be a shot gun.

That must be an old piece of tiger maple, hard to find it today with that many stripes.

That must be an old piece of tiger maple, hard to find it today with that many stripes. It is from an old blank, 1970. It is the 2nd percussion I have made in the last 2 years. I have made only flintlock longrifles up until this. Jim
