Just bought a JC Higgins 222 rifle should have it tomorrow? It was sent to the right address wrong name my fault, but it is on track now. It was advertise as havig a Sako L-46 action 28" barrel and walnut stock. At looking at the picture, one can get a false reading as too the quality of the firearm we'll see. Anyone have any experience with such? I had a heavy and hot conversation with the sender. he sent the rifle from california with no insurrance, snail mail. What really set me off was he didn't insure it, when confronted I asked what if it was loast or stolen, His reply that is my problem what a jerk. Would any of you sell a rifle and ship it W/O insurrance? I know I wouldn't. Well any way I will repliy to this post as to the outcome of the condition and so forth. Lou

J.C. Higgins rifles were sold by Sears. I don't understand the sako action on a J.C. Higgins. Hope you end up with satisfaction. When dealing long distance with traders we chance getting stung. Since he shipped without insurance and isn't nice about it all I suspect you may get even more aggrivated. Trusting some people is a wet blanket.

How's that rifle looking I would like to see a photo of it, I have several JC Higgins shot guns and they have been very good over the years, never let me down. THe Higgins or sears name shot guns I have were all made by High Standard, they are model 200 High Standerd shot guns with either sears or JC Higgins stamped into them.

Well I got it after some agonizing days worry about him sending it across country w/o insurrance. Well it turned out it is in very good shape. The action has stamped right on it Sako Action, has a 28" barrel Stock Walnut fair figure. Away from home will get some pictures. Lou
