So far we are liken it! went out yesterday ,in a dry hurricane, and tested 30 or so loads. worked very well and it can't blow down just as you shoot. The strap that holds the unit on to the barrel will have to be made better but the readings where just where we wanted them. The only load I had documented for speed was my hot 45/70. I had it checked before and averaged 2495 fps. Yesterday the temp was around 35* , we checked it before at 85*, the MagnetoSpeed clocked it at 2490 fps average and a s/d of 11. So I think it's accurate. We did several shot shell loads and came up with the published speed out of my 28" full choke 870.I did find out I can ramp up my 22/250 even it put bullets in the same hole at 100 yards it only going 3280 fps with a 52 gr match king. I have some 60gr Nosler going 3800. and a 243 that 3500 so I'm going to up the 22/250 but I'll have to try reloader 15 to do it,just cant get enough Varget in the case.

Yep, I have been pleased with mine. It does alter POI so verify zero before or after using it. I have used it with saboted ML bullets with no problems also.

I believe the ONLY downside to it is the change in POI. The strap attachment may seem a little flimsy, but mine hasn't slipped during recoil, the heaviest of which would be from the Rem 700ML shooting a 250gr bullet @ 2700fps.
It's nice to have such a tool which is unaffected by wind, rain, too much or too little light. Very pleased with mine, other than the POI effect.

My only question is: How complicated or how much of a PITA will it be for a 35 shot range session with the SML? Does it need to be unstrappedthen re-attached for each load? It would almost seem so, due to inteference with the ram rod and bullet seating? Richard

Don't know ? We don't have any front loaders sorry. I would think there would be room to use the ram rod? The hard part would be strapping it on the barrel, if the rod mount is in the way. The only time we had to take it off was to change guns. A HEAVY recoil gun like the 45/70 or the 870 supper express with heavy 3 1/2" shells we had to make sure the unit was still in line after each shot, just readjust and shoot again...

Richard, ya just need to be around when someone is using one of them. It is so simple to remove and replace, it would make your head spin. My only complaint is the POI shift. Groups are still tight, just higher than usual.

can be unstrapped in 3 seconds and restrapped and aligned in 5.. very easy to use, reads EVERY single time. seems to be pretty accurate

Good information, but it cost me over $400!
I just placed an order for the V2 version. My biggest issue with my existing chronograph is that my shooting range is almost covered with trees. So, when the sun is high noon, I have to do my testing. After I get the V2, it will be fun.

Just thinking out loud here...could this device be mounted to the bench / gun rest so that you wouldn't have to mount / dismount it and not have a POI change? Maybe a safety issue then?

I do not think so, because the bullet has to pass over the sensors very close! Something like quarter of an inch. So if it is mounted anywhere but on the barrel, then it is very hard to get that close to both sensors?
