I was checking out a .380 Sig-Sauer semi-auto at a new gun store near here today, and it seemed to fit real well. Any opinions on this gun for a carry gun, and as to reliablility? Thanks in advance.

I have the Ruger LCP & a Sig P238. The P238 shoots much better. The LCP is very easy to conceal & very light. The P238 is costly, but a very nice gun when 380 will do.

I Have a p232 and love it as a carry gun. It's very accurate and cycles very well with all rounds I've tried.

A .380 is better than nothing but I just never liked the ballistics. Light stubby bullets going kinda slow....especially in very small guns. I would want a head/face shot on a well dressed bad guy as well as a wide faced hollow point (if they cycle well) that won't glance off the skull. One that would dig in and go straight as possible

My buddy has a Sig P-250 I believe, in 9mm. Very nice and i was impressed with how well he shot it. I know it's not a 380 but it's an opinion on a sig.. His P-250 is a decent conceal gun as well, fairly small and light. I like it as well as my M&P but his would be better concealed than mine because of the size.

.380 are great little carry guns, light with plenty of power to do the job. Run ball ammo instead of HP for maximum penetration. I never feel under gunned carrying a .380, its basically a 9mm short. Mike

I was at the gun show today and handled the new SIGs. While the .380 P238 is nice and small just a step up is the P938 in 9mm. Both are SA which is why I stopped carrying the 1911. The new P290 is a big step up from the Kahr PM9 and Keltec PF-3AT
