I truly enjoy reading about someone in need that has been helped by prayer. James says "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much".
It also always makes me realize that I am not alone in my situation. I always feel guilty asking others to pray for me, though right now I'm pretty close to the bottom and could use someone stronger than me to pull me up. Still, it's not their job to do that, it's mine, and I need to just do it.
However, there's a ton of things going on way bigger than I am. And it is without hesitation that I ask all you righteous men to pray for me, you, us, and each other. We're at a bad time. I doubt it's the crossroads that some loud harbingers make it out to be. It will probably pass. But it's quite a change from my youth and my adult life. To me, things are just a mess.
Someone today sent me this.....at a time when the Lord musta knew I needed it. The one who sent it asked me "Do you think we'll ever have another like this?"
He is young. So I am not going to answer him "no". But "no" is what I believe.
I'd appreciate everyone's prayers for our country. The Bible requires it, and I'm asking it. I think it'll help.
Here's what he sent me:
