For those who are interested the WCEs are on sale at Natchez again. Was looking for some specs on the scope so I called Weaver. They told me that they continue to manufacture the WCE and it is sold exclusively through Natchez. The guy I talked to at Federal/ATK could not give me any technical specs (said he didn't even have access to them) other than it is a Weaver and as such carries a lifetime warranty and that it is manufactured in the Phillipines. Any additional info I needed I should contact Natchez.I was under the impression that these were discontinued/closeout scopes. Most of you that have them give them good reviews so I think I'm gonna bite the bullet on one.

There is a new thing going on where a distributor likes a certain model and the scope company will do a production run just for them if the order is big enough. Two examples that I know of are the WCE for Natchez and IIRC Cameraland or Optics planet is having the old Vortex Vipers made. To cut cost they move production from Japan to the Phillipines (it is the same company running both plants). Now I do not know if the components or even the internal design are of the same quality. Natchez sold so many of the WCEs on closeout they may be hoping that just the name will make everyone jump on one. If they are anywhere near the quality of the originals they are still a pretty good buy.

I have 2 2.5X10 50 mm and 2 2.5X10 56 mm(yes, the 56 has a slightly better picture - don't know why). These were bought at the 1st original sale. I now have a new 1.5X4.5 and it seems as good, but don't know.

I got the 6X24X50 with the illuminated duplex. Put it on my 6xc for some nitetime coyote hunting. Got the 107 MK's under 1" @ 300. Scope is clear and with 1/8 minute adjustments is repeatable and accurate. Only gripe I have is this is the first scope that I have ever gotten that didn't have some sort of lens caps with it?! Guy at Natchez told me most high end scopes don't come with caps/covers. Guess I've never had a high end scope.

I have two 2.5x10x56mm and one 8x32x50mm. They are solid scopes.

I was playing with my 2.5-10X56 the other night of the "super moon". As long as I had the moon behind me it was doing pretty good, I could see out past 200yds pretty easy and even get up to 6X at 100yds. With the moon to your front seeing in the shadows was tough to impossible.
