I have a set of tally 1 piece scope/mounts on my savage, when I put my scope on it today it sits rather low. When I look through the scope I can't see the iron sights, but it looks like they would be in the way.Should I take them off?? even though I can't see them in my scope?

I always take mine off but they will not really make a difference in the sight picture if they stay...

This is primarily a Savage ML question. Since our guns often recoil more than other MLs, I appreciate even scope discussions for our guns in the Savage ML section.
Just saying......

Take the sights off and the thimble.... save the ramrod for the range....and get you a Mac ramrod and starter with spinjags .....the barrel should perform better ,it will lighten the overall weight, it will even look nicer,lol.....the front sight is great for snagging briars,grass,limbs,etc...some people fill the holes with wax......just a thought or two.... U will see the sights on extreamly low settings. 1.5 to 3 it's usually pretty noticeable. On 4x or higher it's out of the plane Fundamentals of marksmanship and stalking all benefit from having a front sight on a long gun.i would keep it on Tere if at all possible.

It is a personal choice. You can make a decision either way and not effect the guns accuracy.
