Do mods etal think that a "sticky" covering "getting your SML going" or "what you need to know about SML" or "suggestions for newbies" or other title of a sticky that helps the new SML shooters get tuned in. There are a bunch of things that every new SML shooter needs to know to get started right. It was a struggle for me when I moved over from the "Holy Black" to SML and it was a struggle but got there eventually with help from board and some members here. I'm just thinkin that a compilation of basic starting suggestions strictly for newbies would be a great help for them. The "tips and hints" is really good but completly overwhelming for a newbie. I'm thinking a strictly new to SML shooting suggestion sticky. What think all? Just think back to when you were a newbie and what would have helped you! Best, 10 ga
PS. Nice to be able to post stuff like this without getting flamed, as would happen on other boards.

You may have a good idea. The booklet that came with my rifle was complete and clear regarding the whole nine yards. Everything from the thorough cleaning to loading and book loads. I didn't have one problem getting started. But I am sure that some get guns without books.

I didn't have one problem getting started. But I am sure that some get guns without books. I did. The only thing that came with mine was the standard safety stuff. Hardly any weapon specific information at all. Hence why I came here immediately and started reading and asking questions.
