I have this Smith & Wesson 629 that I will be removing the 6.5 inch factory ported barrel and the Leupold base and rings and replacing them with this 3 inch ported barrel in an effort to build a carry friendly handgun. so that means I have a few extra parts laying around.

That ought to be sweet.
Local shop had a Talo 329PD last summer that almost came home with me, that thing was light!! Still kick myself for passing on it.

That's some awesome carry medicine. I can't imagine looking down that big hole and seeing a bunch of 180 gr hollow points in the cylinder...
Be sure to post some pix when done

I used to own a 3" unfluted cylinder L.Horton 629 but let a good friend of mine talk me out of it back in 1997 and have kicked myself every since so now that I've decided to quit using this 629 for hunting I went on the search for a new barrel and found this NOS barrel on GB. Here are a couple of pictures of a pig I shot with the one I owned before, I put the smack on this guy at 20yd shooting Rem. 180HP on top of 12gr of H110. That is the exit side in the picture, the bullet entered right on the back edge of the front shoulder and exited as you can see at the base of the neck, the pig only went 10yds after the shot.
