This year I switched to the Remington Accu-Tip sabot slugs from the Remington Core-Lokt Ultra due to the cost. I struggled with this decesion since there has been some moderate to severe negative press on these slugs, from failure to fires to poor expansion. Well I'm happy to report that I have fired a total of 14 rounds throuhg my M37 Ithaca and have had no FTF's, also today I took a 150 pound four point at 70 yds. Slug entered the rear of the ribs on the right side at the spine and I found it under the hide on the left side middle of the rib cage perfectly expanded. The buck was quatering away from me and expired very quickly, slug took out the liver and lungs.

I get superb accuracy out of Accutips in my DSIII and great performance on deer. Every buck has been DOI and I've never had a misfire. I won't switch!
