For those interested NSS has 12 gage 2.75" Winchester Partition Gold's on sale for $9.99 a box of five. Although not a great bargain, $9.99 per box is the best price I have seen for a long time. OTC at BP or Cabelas they run around $15/box. My two bolt slug guns shoot them well so I ordered 15 boxes.
My Marlin 512 likes them so well I took a fine 8 pointer at 198 laser RF confirmed yards. Buck droped and was DRT. One shot broad side DBL lung pass through, damage to lungs indicated excellent expansion. Exit hole was the size of a golf ball.
