Hey RAF -2F is still cold. Here it is rain and above freezing. As for Spring saw a few Robins today first time this year. Usually a good sign that Winter is almost over.

The robins are too smart to show up here right now. If they did, they'd likely be sitting in a tree, frozen stiff. It's 4:15 pm and -25 C..., that's -13F. Burrrrrr....

No rain but warm here. Chance of rain the next few days 50 percent. Maple and elm buds are ready to burst open. Daffodils are in bloom plus some other little wild flowers. Here in the house I have tomato seed coming up for transplanting later. Take a look at a couple of my little babies.

We go down in the teens at night, up to the forties during the day, near Binghamton N.Y. I've never seen so many Canada geese. Makes me wonder how it was before the white man came? Last week I ice fished for the last time, although the ice is still thick enough. Anyway, while out on a frozen lake, there were red-winged blackbirds singing in the trees along the shore, and some pairs of geese kept flying by and circling, as if I was upsetting their housekeeping or hunting. This was a hard winter, and it's almost over. Deer are out feeding in the day.

Man! This thread is beginning to remind me of two old farmers in the country general store playing checkers and talking about the weather. Guess we gotta all wear bib overalls just to read this one.

You had to mention a couple of inches of heavy wet snow. ;D Sunday was a balmy 50F with no wind. Great day to get the lawnmower ready for some cutting in the near future. Changed the oil, sharpen the blade, cleaned the air filter and she started on the second pull. Pruned some shrubs, cleaned the flower beds and even put some air in my bike tires to go for a short 20-minute ride to loosen some muscles. Was planning on a more extended bike ride tonight but when I traveled home and was preparing for my bike ride after supper large wet flakes appeared. Yep the ground is white again. Aw Nuts another delay to remove some winter slush around the waist. ;D

In N.Y. we had 2 days last week where it didn't rain, and this week only Thurs. is predicted to not rain. And we are lucky compared to the S.E., Mid West, and earthquakes in Italy, etc. I guess.

If the wind blows today it'll be day 14 it's helping to dry things out but I for one would like a break.
