I got rid of the factory stock and dropped my 220 in a McMillan HTG with pillars and the sniper fill. Huge difference in recoil and accuracy. Rem accutip 2.75 put 5 shots right at 1.25 at 100 yards. 2.75 lightfields were about 1.5 at 100. Federal trophy copper 3inch open up to about 3.5 and 3 inch lightfields go to about 5 inches. Everything I shot was waiting for he barrel to cool back to ambient.
But I fully agree the slug gun will never equal the muzzloader.

Just picked up the savage 212 for my dad. I'm not impressed with it and it hasn't been shot yet. I had him order a vortex 2-7x32 with BDC hash marks to put on it. I used my Wheeler scope mounting kit to mount scope. I've never had any issues before mounting a scope till this Savage. I did it three times and every time the cross hair were crooked. I ended up eye balling it. I've seen one Savage ml that had the base holes drill off centered. I'm wondering if this shot gun had the same issue guess we'll find out when we site it in.
