I got 13 boxes of the 200gr... I tried 20 but it would only give me 13... Must have been all they had. MidSouth sells them for 11.10 so I saved $4.61 a package . I hope they are the same as my sst's. I got 500 of the 200gr xtp's a while back they need to be tumbled though... Shoud be enough to keep me busy for a while it came to$ 104.00 Drop

Thanks Rifleman I hope, I don't know what tolerances were not meant to qualify as blemishes but I bought 12 packages of 20 for around 95 bucks shipped. I got the 200sst's .40 cal. at half of midway's normal price, my not born yet pacnor will feed on them nicely with a little 4759/4198 duplexs for protein or phosphate or what ever else comes out the barrel. I'll try them out and see what happens. I've got some blue harvesters lined up...HMMMM I need more powder now...and primers. Aint this stuff great. I can't pass a deal up Rifleman thanks again, By the way there were 52 packages left at around 5 central, my saleslady told me they were a hot item today and was having a hard time keeping up with the inventory count.I was going to buy 140 to start with but after she told me about the 13 dollar "whatever you can put in shipping box" ,I asked her how many packages she could put in and when she got to 12 I was good to go and went with it. A GOOD DEAL...IMO...!!!

I was unsure what the blem was so I only ordered 4 of the 200 grainers. Hopefully they are blems just because of the tip color.

You have spent more on a bad meal , and we'll just have to see how blemished they are...!!! I don't have a chrono YET but now "Since the bullets are blemished and groupings are unpredictable all I can do is track the es's of what I shoot",I can't just throw away all those bullets I just bought so buy the chrono Greenhorn. If not I'M just throwing away money, doncha think OMEGA45 UPdate at 10 central the 200' s were no longer posted for sale, I'm sick and was looking at the .452,250's and noticed they were GONE

What you just gave Larry Potterfield you could have got a Chrono...
I had read somewhere on the net awhile back about the Hornady blems. There was actually an employee selling them as Hornady gave them away to their employees. I believe the blem mentioned was just appearance.

I ordered yesterday as soon as I seen this post. I only got 100. I have used the blems in 270 and 06 and see no difference in 95% of the bullets. I know the blems don't last long at these prices in the more popular calibers.

The senior members here have advised in the past that "blems" from hornaday are usually just cosmetic in nature. As I stated earlier I bought 500 of the 200 gr xtp that were blemed.. They had minute deposit's of lead attached to the jacket.. and Richard bought a few hundred and just tumbled them and they shot as well as all the other's. I got to pick up a tumbler ..but the savings on all those alone will pay for most of it. I guess I am a hoarder.... When I order I tend to order ahead for my retirement ;D.. I have a lot of stuff I done that with when I was shooting .50 ( I need to list a bunch of that stuff and re stock in .45)...LOLany way I am babbling...imagine that. I am sure these bullets will perform way better than my old shooting self can...good luck guy's...Buy em all up. somebody here can use em if you cant. and pass em along. Drop

I was going to order the .40s last night but the estimated shipping did not compute correctly for me so I thought I would order first thing this morning at 9:00 AM. Thinking that on a weekend and that late in the day they would still be available. Thinking got me into trouble, maybe next time.

I ordered 300 of the .40 SST's but think Midway really rips us off on the shipping! I was ticked and sent an e-mail to their customer service: "Please tell me why you cannot use one of those UPS boxes for $4.95 to ship? You have a good deal on the bullets and then hit us with an excessive shipping charge? Inquiring minds want to know. I have gotten bullets from another supplier and they ship that method. Times are tough!" Richard Dear Richard, Thank you for your recent email regarding our shipping options. I apologize that we do not currently offer a flat rate UPS shipping box for $4.95. I am unable to determine that exact reason why we do not have that available but we are always looking to make improvements and offer more desirable options to our customers so I appreciate your suggestion. We do offer a few USPS Flat Rate boxes at different prices depending on the weight and size of the products. We add Postage, Handling & Insurance to all orders. These charges are calculated at the time the order is placed, based on the number of packages in the order, the weight and dimensions of each package, the dollar amount of the order (for insurance purposes only) and the shipping address. The shipping fee calculates for the in-stock items while backordered items have a separate shipping charge. If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-243-3220. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT; Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT. You may also email us at customerservice@midwayusa.com. Thanks for Your Business! Most suppliers make their profit off shipping and handling charges. Order something from Midsouth Shooters Supply and see what they charge for S&H. Grafs used to be the best for shipping but they now add a fee to each order. The days of cheap anything are over......... Mike

The last time I ordered from Grafs there was going to be a fee for orders under $30 IIRC. No fee for anything over just $4.95 shipping.

My .400 SST blems arrived today repackaged in small blue boxes. Upon inspection I see nothing wrong with them visually. They are the SST's made for TC, yellow tip. Maybe Midway received a shipment where all the boxes broke open and they could not sell them due to that reason? Wish I would have bought more!

they appear perfect to me,have noticed the base appears less rounded per tc's spec's vs. sst's that someone pointed out earlier in a thread a while back. in my application "sabotless" i think this will be an additional plus!

Got my shipment today. Ordered 225 ftx .452 and the .458 250 grain polymer tip bullet. Neither of these have any blemishes at all. The strange thing is the .458 bullet is only 250 gr but is the same length as a 325 ftx. They look the same except the 250 gr is missing the the bottom cannelure ring. Anyone have any ideas as to what this bullet is? I thought it may have been one of the new gmx bullets but I pulled the tip out and there is a lead core.

Received 500 200gr .45 FTX's today. Sort of committed myself to set up for sabotless. Still think I am going to attempt Richard Franklin's method of sizing and hopefully, won't have to go the very expensive route.
Have always thought Midway made a pretty good profit on the "handling" end of "shipping & handling", so they get a pretty good order from me to reduce the unit costs. Also got some good Forster dies this time around. Never could complain about their service, but then, never could complain about Graf&Sons service with less expensive "handling", either. Grafs just doesn't always have what I need.
