I was checking some prices and could not believe how over priced they are in my opinion. You tell me what you think.
Lets start with Triple Se7en. Cabelas $26.99 Natchez $19.99 Midsouth $20.43
BlackHorn209 Cabelas $37.99 Natchez $26.99 Midsouth $30.98
Primers (CCI) Cabelas $ 37.99 Natchez $29.99 Midsouth $30.18
Sabots (Harvester 50cal) Cabelas $7.99 Natchez $ Midsouth $4.75
Bullets (250grn SST) Cabelas $14.99 per 20 Natchez $11.06 Midsouth $11.18
I really think i went far enough. What a joke. I am the worst at linking to Cabelas because of convenience. What do you guys think?

I noticed the same... I used to be Cabela's all the way, even have their credit card for the bonus points.
Now my order of preference is Mid-South, followed by Natchez (their shipping is too high) and finally Cabelas.

How do you think Cabelas pays for all those catalogs they send out? I quit buying from them 2-3 years ago when they jacked up all their prices. When you calculate shipping in the prices sometimes its cheaper to buy from your local gun shop. Mike

I try and buy from the local guy when possiable, but selection is slim at best especially on powders.

I buy a lot of stuff from cabelas. Do I buy everything from there? No way. For the items like grouse mentioned, I order from natchez, midsouth... etc. Basically which one has them the cheapest. That being said cabelas often runs promotions, for example free shipping, or $25 off $150, or spend $500 get $100 off. I take advantage of these, especially on larger items. But the main reason that I purchase large items at cabelas is their warranty and customer service. NO ONE can match it! Cabelas stands behind their products and to me that means something.

Cabela's is simply another tool in the tool bag.....use them when it is appropriate and use someone else when not.....it is that simple.....a Guy can't have too many options, can he? Cabelas does have many good products but I usually don't buy from them unless there is a 'sale' going on.....they do have good customer service.

I agree Cabela's stands behind their sales...I've returned a lot of items I was disatisfied with ... after I've used them. Mostly hunting clothing. Never a problem.
But we're talking about pretty basic MZ stuff here.. which I've never had reasons to return. Wish they had better pricing on them.
Another thing...I wish they were more discreet in sending my year-end statement for my Cabela's Club VISA ! It cost me big time when my wife saw it ! ;D

I actually had some Cabelas fishing waders that I bought from ebay but they leaked. When I called Cabelas just to see if they had a way to repair them....they suggested that I send them in for inspection. I did so and they sent me a brand new pair ($189) and paid for the shipping also. Now that is outstanding and it does cost something to provide such excellent customer service.

I recently went through the spotting scope delima..and Bought the wrong one.. It was 500 bucks and tx... When I got it home I was SOOO disappointed.. I called up to the store I bought it from ..and explained my situation.. The one I really wanted had gone up in price the week I bought mine..in the new cataolg..$200 bucks... However when I explained that to them they said no problem.. If I would come back the next weekend they would honor that price.. I got a $1000 scope for $800... The customer service I have gotten from that store (Wisconsin) Has been the BEST I have ever gotten anywhere..... I do price shop..But then again what is the price of customer service. On most of the big ticket item's I have found them to be pretty competitive..And "Customer Satisfaction Is Guaranteed" Drop

I buy just about everything from Midsouth unless they don't have it. The only thing that Cabelas is good for it the nice pretty pictures that you can look at then buy it from Midsouth. ;D

I wish they would give me the natchez price on the new savage ML they sell, I tried and they said, it has to be instock and local for a price match. And Cabelas doesn't have a retail store within 500 miles of Natchez in Chattanooga, TN Cabelas add does say: BEST PRICE PROMISE - FIND A BETTER ADVERTISED PRICE AND WE WILL GLADLY MATCH IT! Then in smaller print it says: See a retail store for details

Cabelas is way out of line on there powder thats for sure.I like it in other ways, because i can look up the shipping cost without going to CHECK OUT to find out how much it would cost.Alot of sites now adays are trying to make to much money off there shipping charges and don't really want to let you know how much they going to charge you until you checkout.I try now to mostly buy from GRAf & Son ,only problem with them is they take a long time before they ever ship it out. Cabelas has stood behind alot of stuff for me that they didn't have to.But they do need to get inline on alot of others sites prices
