This ole boy came strolling in after the first series of does bleats and tending grunts that "Q" let drift across the creek bottom at first light. A smaller buck tried to beat this buck to the wonderful sound of the doe bleats but this buck was having none of that and it led to his demise! "Q" unleashed a Lightfield HyBred from his 980 Ultra Slughunter 20 ga. and he went straight down. For those of you who enjoy slughunting or it is the only game in town,it is hard to beat this light recoiling combo.Never mind the camera date...I just changed batteries....

:)Congratulations Rick and 'Q'. Nice G2s. Sometimes Larry I want to grab a club before "Q" and I start anything and crack him a good one and get his attention...The reason being is I saved this private location for him and the deer received zero pressure until yesterday when meathead decided he he wanted to still hunt.He took off right through the middle of this honey hole yesterday and did not go 50 yds from the stand I told him to stay put in when he spotted a doe coming towards him.He crouches down and then realizes there is a 150s plus main frame 10pt following her! ;D You would think he would have backed out right? Nope...not this stealthy Indian.. ;D He proceeds to let the chase go down as he does not have a shot.(He would have had a shot had he listened to is Dad and stayed is his stand that I had strategically located and killed a zillion deer from ;D) So he continues on and proceeds to jump that buck and doe on his way out and bust them out of there.. ;D I do not remember being so hard headed... ;D ;D

The one he got would def. be a trophy in my neck of the woods.Been trying to help my son get a decent buck but it seems he,s always in the wrong place. Good Hunting. Larry

I have found that the older he gets the dumber I get.. ;D I can prove to him unequivocally that he is wrong and he will insist in proving me wrong and take on another angle...I just let him fall..lol ;D He seems to learn better that way...

Nice deer Q,
I love bloody tailgates...give people something to stare at Walmart and wonder what the heck is going on.
You guys are on your way to a protein filled freezer in hurry.
Keep the reorts and pix coming.
