thanks guys. I think there is enough material in the end of the forearm to do a ramrod channel, but I think I'm just going to tote a break down for now.

Great looking rifle, Ron. Is that a 24" bbl or is that the 21 1/2"? What make is your scope? The 32mm front lens makes a lot more sense for deer hunting. Helps with the balance. Congrats!

it's a youth 21" barrel, scope is a nikon 4 x 32 prostaff, I've found that they hold up to the recoil and have decent clarity

Dave She shoots very well, probably 3/4" @ 100 using 250 xtp. Yes that is a hunter bolt conversion and it works very very well

it's just a boyds classic, choice of laminates for 92+ S & H. I had to open the barrel channel up for the ml barrel but other than that it dropped in fine.

OK. Where did you get it for that price? How much work did it take to get the barrel channel correct? Long action or short action? Thanks for all the help...I can't wait to get this project started!!

Nice!! I think it needs a black scope though, the camo kind of ruins the theme going on.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that my ML is a youth model and only has a 21.5" barrel. But here's a link for the stock, as stated take your pick of laminates www.boydsgunstocks.com/BOYDS-CLASSIC-REMINGTON-700-p/400-034.htm. Short action. It took about an hour to sand out the barrel channel. I put on about 6 coats of true oil to seal it back up. Maybe a black scope might fit the theme better but for 109 I don't think it hurts it to much.

It reminds me of my old Rem 600 with a 19" barrel...which is my FAVORITE bolt action i have ever owned.
VERY NICELY DONE!!!!!!

Mine is the 24" barrel, do you think the 3.5 inches will make that big of a difference?

Thanks...I am ordering mine this afternoon!!! By the way, I feel that the Burris fullfield II scopes are excellent scopes for the money...I put one on a Remmy 700sps Tactical and another on my DPMS Sweet 16...I haven't used that particular size, but They are excellent. Getting another this spring for for my Remmy model 7!

Then lets do it this way. This is after about 15 or 20 shots . I'm having trouble getting them to resize so please just bear with the pics being large. The conversion kit consist of a new nose for your bolt, a new firing pin assembly and a new breech plug. IMO it's well worth the cost

That conversion is so good Remington should have offered to buy the rights and re-introduce their ML with it.

rj.. That's a good looking rifle you got there ....I'm a little biased though...I've got the same stock on my .270 and thinking about putting the multi colored one on my Savage .50. Zen
