She has spinal stenosis which was misdiagnosed until she was a few weeks from a wheelchair. She is just 57 and has been in pain most of her life. She had 4 disc in her lower back fused 3 yrs ago{botched] .Three months ago she had 3 fused and all the excess bone cut away but nothing so far has relieved the pain. She had a trial spinal stimulator installed a couple of weeks ago but only could use it for 3 days because she could not stay off cumidin any longer. We are going for counceling so she can decide if she wants a perminent one implanted. We JUST don't know. I loose my Insurance when I am eligible for Medicare so we will be SOL, I am 4 yrs older than she is.Between this, not much work and my 86yr old mother that I am helping to care for, I think only God can help. Rusty is rambling again, Sorry ,but Please pray for her!

My heart goes out to your wife and yourself as you bear this tragedy. It certainly isn't easy to keep a positive attitude when our body is suffering pain. I sometimes speak sharply at the Ozark Angle while she is doing everything in her power to help me recover from a panic attack or a back pain from an old injury. I feel terrible afterwards and she undestands its out of my character to get irritated at her. A contineous ailment can lead to depression an that isn't good for anyone. I applaud you for doing all that can be done for her. May God give you both the strength to bear this burden and if it is His will I pray that the suffering ceases and that she is pain free. Don't worry about losing your Insurance there is always a way. If she ever worked and paid into Social Security surely she could be declared disabled and that would be a help financially and maybe medical bills. Hang In there, both of you.

Deadon
In my youth I envisioned life getting easier, as we got older but found out what a crock that belief was. There are times/situations where we can physically help others or support them with presence and comforting words. But there are times when only God can provide what is needed through prayers. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your wife.

My prayers are with you both, hang in there, it's amazing what a prayer can do. I hope your wife is staring to get some relief from all the pain she has been in.
