I have been gainfully employed these past several weeks. Long hours, some 100 miles from home. My Dad and I decided a fishing trip was in order. So I put away the snow blower, too. I take full responsibility for the weather that is preserving these flowers for Mother's Day. In my family we have always done flowers and Mother's Day. We had a nice little dusting last night. By this morning it was a little more serious. I am packing anyway and we will go fishing..maybe.

It's supposed to frost here in southern lower Michigan tonight also. Don't expect any of the white stuff but it may put a end to the iris that are blooming now. Enjoy the fishing trip I just came home from Houghton Lake after spending a couple of days chasing walleye's. Decent trip caught a bunch of fish and actually put some walleye in the freezer. Largemouth were active and we quite counting when we hit 20 that were all 16 to 19 inches long. Came home with 6 Walleye 17 to 21 inches long (great eaters) I even boated a dogfish that went 12 1/2 pounds. Crazy few days of fishing but we had a great time.
