I went out the first time this year last weekend on the Little Red. Your trip was far better than mine. I got rained on the whole time, got about 6 hours of fishing in and caught 3 stocker rainbows. But It was better than sitting at home!!!

Early trout season is April 1 here. Sadly, I will have to be at Camp, near a couple of decent rivers. I will get some images, just so you can see how muddy the water can be. Maybe I can hang a chromer or two. Those Lake run fish can be tasty.
One year we had some spring run king salmon in the river. They seemed to be much better fighters than the fall run fish.
I do like most of Clint's cowboy movies.

The fish at Rock Bridge Ranch are all hatchery raised and the average fish released is 2.5lbs. You would think it would be easy to catch them, but you have to work at it. Very fun to hook a 4lb'er on a 5 weight rod and 2lb tippet! ;D Finesse is the order of the day!
