been a rought few weeks. my dad is back in the hospital and hasnt eaten in almost 3 weeks. keeps throwing up. they tried to do an endoscopy on wed but had contrast fluid in his stomach from sat and food particals and could not get the scope in to his small intestine. they are slowly trying to pump it out but not dropping much. they dont want to do surgery cause he is so weak but may have to to put feeding tube in. he is in serious condition, he can die from surgery but if they dont do it he can die also. the docs are trying every thing to avoid surgery but will have to wait and see.

whyohe, May you find the strength to handle this event. It is not easy and I know how you feel. Sometimes the hurdles that we have to cross and watch our loved ones cross is very depressing. It is a mind game but best if we can keep our minds on the good times and accept that nature itself forces separation. Keep you head up and keep him aware that you are there with him. I know from experience that just having a loved one put their hand on my forehead and massage my head means so much. When I near panic from shortness of breath the Ozark Angel applies this caring touch to me and it calms my anxiety and provides me with a comfort that medicine cannot. Hang in there and never forget that you are never alone. Ben

A prayer to the One who is in charge. These are very difficult times. Surround yourself with those that you love.

Whyohe, I have a very close friend that went through similar problem last November. I know it is both tough and scary. Will be in prayer that your Dad, like my friend, will soon be on track for a full recovery.
