In the Wild Game Recipe Form if a dessert recipe thread was started would it get hoofed out of the forum? If so would a dessert recipe included in a wild game thread recipe be acceptable? I enjoy my wild game meals and every so often enjoy a coffee and dessert afterwards that compliments the meal at the end. Not often is there room for just any dessert after a good wild game meal unless a special dessert is waiting. ;D

I am not the decision maker but I see nothing wrong with suggesting a wine or a desert that goes well with Wild Game. I think wild rice is used often and certainly all manner of spices and marinating is part of it. I suggest you post it and if it is objected to it can be moved or deleted. I believe in orderly organization on the board but I certainly don't want members to feel censored or lack freedom. JMO

Thanks for the reply and considerate comments. I thought about this some more and felt my first approach will include the word "Dessert" in the thread title and identity with recipe included in the thread. Believe this would be more appropiate and in line with the intent of the Wild Game Recipe Forum as you suggested with comparing it to other accompaning dishes.

For me personally, although I haven't been here long, I am happy to see any recipe that you have. I like to cook, anything from gourmet to biscuits and gravy. I think most recipes should be alowed. Most any desert is good following wild game of some sort so I can't see where anyone would be offended.

ET,
As far as I'm concerned, if it's about food.....it's the best place to post.
We get a little technical around here, but we're not THAT BAD are we?

Wilmsmeyer Already got into one technicality with the Savage Board and didn't want to wander into another. Just felt it was prudent and courteous to ask about wavering from the original intent of another board. The Admins. and Mods. are doing a great job and don't want to generate any surprises for them to deal with. Ed

Hey, I made your cheesecake and tonight am having it right after a venison stew. It all goes to make a meal. Maybe, just maybe those were some wild cherries on that cheesecake.

If not your taste buds may go wild for another helping before the night is out. Mine do. ;D Look forward to your comments on the dessert. Ed
