I took this picture yesterday with my Panasonic Lumix camera. It has not been doctored or changed in any way. It is not a ufo and after you have had your guesses or someone solves how I got it then I will reveal all the facts. Good luck, I will be impress if anyone gets it.

At the bottom you can see the tops of some trees. I do not have the means of taking high speed slow motion photos. Any ordinary camera could have got this image.

Okay I'll take a stab at it. It looks like a spiraling potato.
Forgot, camera set to take picture of object in motion.

smokeless77, It is a vapor trail from some sort of projectile. But to win the grand prize as a hero you must explain how this could be caught on a normal camera that has no capability of stopping a projectile. I can't explain yet. But this should be a clue to some other thinkers.

Ozark i'am not much of a scientist but, I think it has to do with temp, humidity, pressure, and the right angle which you are looking at it. I have saw it from one of my friends gun a few different times. I'am still trying to figure out what type it is.

You're not going to tell me you lead this projectile with the camera until you figured you were far enough in front, stopped and similtaneously triggered the shudder?

O'k Ozark , that camera will do 60 frames per second. you new where the football was coming from so you gave it a shot and you caught in a pic. (LOL) Just a guess. I'am giving up though. It does look like a football.

The trajectory would suggest a rather slow projectile launched from a cannon? OR Ben has decided to spice life up a little and strapped a jet pack to his chair! ;D

Solving a mystery can be intriguing and teasing. So if I start from scratch and orginal clue comments here’s what I get.
Original shot taken with camera at normal setting. Object spiraling appears to be in motion with Velocity and Vapor trail. When picture was taken it appears to be a clear day.
So the key element is establishing the object first. If it’s a clear day and in order to produce a visible vapor trail at a velocity that can be seen by the naked eye then the object appears to be releasing moisture.
But the first big question is “Can pictures of this phenomenon be readily reproduced or is this a fluke 1-shot deal?
The reason I ask is that even mystery solvers need enough clues for determining a possible solution/answer.

I have made no claims here but I am getting a little afraid since the Balloon boys parent went to jail. I have said this is not a UFO and now I want to stress that it cannot do anyone harm by falling from the sky. I could repeat everything and get another picture but I just posted one of four that I took. There is nothing to be alarmed about. It is not one of the signs and wonders spoken of in the Bible..

Is it in some way caused by the image stabilization system trying to stabilize while either the object or camera is in motion? Better watch out for alien abductions though!

If the object can't hurt anyone then it has to have little or no mass at all. If it has no mass in the end it has to disintegrate. The only object off hand I know of that won't really hurt anyone is a Nerf Ball that kids shoot at each other. Would it be a kids Nerf Ball saturated with water and launched into the air?
Yeah I'm still probing for clues.

Ok, I suppose this shouldn't be run into the ground so I will explaine the picture. It is a picture of my computer monitor that was playing Hunting Unlimited 2009. If you shoot and hit or have a near miss on an animal it shows the bullet traveling slowly from the rifle to the target. In the picture I was shooting at a turkey that was flying in circles above me. I got close to it several times and hit it a couple of times. The hullet would then travel on pretty slow toward the sky. Seeing this, it occured to me that I could get a picture and did several. I was shooting the games 30-06. It is more than the hunter sees but does bring to mind that there is a bullet image. There was plenty of time to get the camera, focus it and get a picture of the slow moving make believe bullet. Sorry it wasn't something educational or worthwhile that you could use. Ozark.
