Pictured is a 9 year old nephew with his 8 point taken with a crossbow last week. Last spring he also took a 23 pound turkey. He is becoming quite a hunter.

Very nice deer. A pleased hunter I am sure. What part of Ohio?

Looks wise, hard to beat a big 8 and that is a BIG 8. What a dandy!

jims,
His Dad (an excellent hunter) and the lad were hunting near their home in Belmont county in eastern Ohio.

Awesome buck! It looks like that young hunter could ride in that rack. Nice thick neck. Looks like the rut is on.I hope he's going to get it mounted.I only say that because I am a Taxidermist. We have a camp not too far from there in Deersville close by Clendenning Lake. It may be pretty difficult for the young hunter to beat that buck, but then he as plenty of time to get it done. That area of Ohio produces many record class bucks.Congratulations!

Congrats on a super buck! That's a trophy by anybody's standards, nothing like a big 8! Good job

Congratulations to the young man. They grow up fast after that age. Next thing you know he'll be an avid hunter on his own.

It is always a pleasure to see youngsters active in the hunting sport. Later they may shift some of that energy to the opposite sex but usually return some interest to the sport. I congratulate him and his parents. Parenting in much more than supplying food, clothing and shelter.
