Good luck but I wonder if that is a better trout fishing area than the norfork and white river in north Arkansas? Maybe I am just trying to get you closer to me. LOL

Good luck but I wonder if that is a better trout fishing area than the norfork and white river in north Arkansas? Maybe I am just trying to get you closer to me. LOL I actually stayed at Sportsmans Resort on the White River near Flippin a few years ago. My brother-in-law and myself trout fished for a couple of days and caught several trout. It is a beautiful, clear, cold river and i often think about going back with my family. Too many wonderful places I'd love to visit or re-visit and too little time to do it! I grew up fishing and canoeing the Current River in Missouri and it has long been a favorite vacation site for my family. I am making the trip this week with my father. I generally take the wife and kids on the same trip each summer when the kids get out of school. If or when i make it back down your way I'll try to let you know in advance and maybe i can buy lunch for you and the little lady! KerryB

good luck Kerry gotta love trout fishing ;D ; what kind are you after? kevin k Going mainly after rainbows and a few browns. I am back now and the fishing was poor due to high, discolored water. I caught a few by fishing a peacock herl nymph a couple of feet below a strike indicator. The river was almost too high to wade safely and i was nearly swept downstream before i gave up trying. The cold rainy weather didn't make the situation any more pleasant either, so i didn't stay as long as i had planned. I did spot a family of 6 river otters which was a high point of the trip for me and the tree colors were pretty as well. Not a total loss, but it could have been better.
