I think it might be nice to have a thread where one could go and get a laugh. ;D

That would be the backporch. Moderator is Ozark which in itself is a laugh. Welcome. Ozark

How about a sub-board for humor in the Back Porch. There are two sub-boards in the Savage Muzzle-loading section so the feasibility seems to exist. Just suggestion.

IMO, unless there is enough jokes and such to warrant another board then I think that it would just take away from the Back Porch board.
IMO again, what will happen is if you go to the Humor Board and there is not 1 or 2 jokes per day then after a while you won't bother to visit it!
IMO again, if certain forums don't start attracting more posting then they should be folded into other similar forums. For instance, the Big Game forum has 1 thread! How many times are you going to bother to open up that board if you don't see that number climb? I bet that you will get tired of it and then even if someone post something interesting nobody will read it because they quit visiting it.
Remember that boards can be expanded and contracted, If you guys have an interest in something, then make a post every once in a while.

In addition, just my opinion, I kind of like being surprised as jokes and stories pop up in different threads unexpectedly.

As usual edge has good solutions. Funny things happen during all activities in life. Just because you happen to be real serious about target shooting doesn't mean it is necessary to put on a long face and act sour with all around you. My wife and I are serious about our life together and our duties to eachother and to our children but we laugh a lot together. It has worked for 57 years.

I find humor in everything, every day. So much so I'm labeled 'silly' and 'goofy' by many.
Today our company announced 8,000 layoffs. Our group is getting hit 20%, quite hard. I am on eggshells.
In the conference call today (with hundreds, if not thousands of attendees on the call), too many folks didn't mute their phones and so everyone could hear their private conversations and coughing and sneezing, etc. The boss kept asking everyone to mute their phone, over and over. I suggested the first ones to go should be the ones who don't know how to mute their phones.
Not sure how well it went over, don't really care. I thought it was funny.

Very good one Buckrub, I would have used the term stiffle the phones. It probably went over really well, when do you sign up for unemployment? LOL
