How much flat surface do you need? I'm assuming at the breech end?

Rb, brother is very interested in moving forward with a conversion. I have several questions: Here's a pic of his particular rifle- He says there is a 3" parallel section at the breech end. I assume you'd need the barrel and action, but would you also want the stock and forend so you could shoot it before sending it back? How long is the turn around time? Please PM me your phone # so I can get the two of you together asap. He only has 7 weeks from now for load development to get it in the field after deer Thanks

Normally I take less than a month but this is the worse time of the year. I've had 30 people call and tell me they need it before October something. Every one of them will have to go without. I'm afraid there are two problems with asking me to work hard in October and November. 1 I don't need the money. 2 I'm going to be hunting in October and November. But I'll be happy as much as possible when I can.
